Embraer Hits Record Q2 2026 Revenue and Backlog Highs

Embraer delivered its strongest second-quarter revenue in history and reached an all-time high backlog for the seventh consecutive quarter, the company announced during its Q2 2026 earnings call. CEO Francisco Gomes Neto confirmed that the record-breaking performance was driven by robust sales execution, operational efficiency, and a significant production ramp-up across all business units.

Record-Breaking Operational Performance

The company reported its highest second-quarter delivery figures in 16 years, totaling 65 aircraft—20 commercial and 45 executive jets. This represents a 7% year-over-year increase in total deliveries. Notably, the E2 commercial program surpassed the milestone of 500 firm orders, while the executive aviation segment achieved record-breaking quarterly revenue and deliveries.

In the defense sector, Embraer secured a major victory with the United Arab Emirates, which ordered 10 C-390 aircraft with options for 10 additional units. This marks the C-390’s first selection in the Middle East and represents the largest international order for the platform to date.

Financial Highlights and Margin Growth

Consolidated net revenues climbed 23% to $2.2 billion in the second quarter. CFO Felipe Santana highlighted that adjusted EBIT margins were bolstered by operational improvements and extraordinary tax credits. Excluding specific one-time items like U.S. import tariffs and tax credits, the adjusted EBIT margin stood at 10.6%, significantly outpacing the five-year average.

The company also improved its financial structure, extending its average debt maturity to 9.3 years while reducing its average cost of debt to 5.1%. Consequently, Embraer has raised its 2026 guidance, now targeting an adjusted EBIT margin between 10% and 10.6% and an adjusted free cash flow of $400 million or higher.

Advancements in Innovation: The Eve Program

Embraer provided a progress update on Eve, its eVTOL subsidiary. The flight testing campaign is proceeding as planned, with the team successfully transitioning from hover flights to transition flights. The company remains confident in its target to certify and launch the eVTOL by the end of 2028, positioning it as a key pillar for post-2029 growth.

Strategic Outlook and Future Opportunities

Looking ahead, Embraer remains focused on lean manufacturing and production leveling to drive efficiency. CEO Francisco Gomes Neto emphasized that the global geopolitical climate has accelerated defense campaigns, including interest from Colombia—the 13th country to select the C-390—and potential opportunities in Greece and India.

Regarding commercial aviation, Embraer continues to see strong demand as airlines look to optimize fleets with efficient narrow-body aircraft. With the company’s “Growficiency” strategy continuing to yield results, Embraer remains optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory and profitability improvements through the remainder of 2026 and beyond.
